Mini meditation for busy people
There are a handful of evidence based tools I personally use and recommend to reduce stress and cultivate calm. One of my favourite ways to hit the reset button on stress and overwhelm is a mini meditation.
And no you don't need to sit in lotus pose for an hour to get the benefits! While having a consistent daily practice of 15-20 minutes brings many benefits, a short and simple practice can work wonders in the moment to shift stress and overcome overwhelm!
Today I want to share with you a mini meditation for busy people (that’s you)!
There is an old Zen Proverb that says…
“You should sit in meditation for twenty minutes every day – unless you’re too busy; then you should sit for an hour.”
I'm going to take creative license and change this slightly...
“Sit in meditation for 5 minutes every day - unless you're too busy; then sit for 20 minutes.”
